This is a life/ perspective drawing that I did of plain household objects from my closet. I can say it's my favorite out of my portfolio because it challenged me to create different textures and learn various techniques in the process. I also used my best medium in the process.This piece also symbolizes my mature style in using minimal details.

House is a Home Medium: MicronPen + Pencil House is a Home is essentially an artist challenge where we were to choose an artist we had interest and who had skills we could draw inspiration from. Franklin Booth- a 20th Century Line Artist had an iconic, unmatched style I always planned to replicate sooner or later. I used a MicronPen to create our house and unkept front yard. I felt the piece come out fantastic, but time constraints withheld me from fully detailing the grass and adding clouds. At the end of the day, this has to be my best piece out of all and marks me as an advanced artist.

High Contrast Drawing Medium: Sharpie As a class, we were challenged to do a self portrait in Sharpie to focus on his contrast. The picture referenced had very little light, so the actual work’s lighting is intentional. We did use grid to transfer our proportions, but I’m not satisfied with how it turned out. An improvement would be the proportions and I would of done the background with ink instead of Sharpie to create a solid gradient.

  Harlem Renaissance Sketch(Jacob Lawrence Tribute) Harlem Renaissance Sketch(Update) Final Artwork  Medium: Newspaper, Acrylics, and Colored Pencils The Black History Month Tribute/Harlem Renaissance piece is something worked tirelessly on. The mediums used include acrylics for the silhouette, colored pencils for the cutouts, and newspaper for the background. The hardest part was adding the background which required me to cut the newspaper in specific shapes to fit around the shapes. In general,  I wanted to make something different and it turned out better than i expected.
