Future Collage

Future Collage
Hollywood Director
(Medium: Cardboard, Construction Paper, Prints, Velvet, Oil Pastel, Tin Foil, and Magazine Scraps)

This post is about visualizing a future goal. Making collages has always been fun and I like a challenge of finding materials to achieve the vision I sketched out. The scene I created is of a reality where I'm a film director striking it out in Hollywood. Los Angeles sits on the left hand sign lit up and a highway wall separates it. On the right is the majestic beauty of palm trees and distant mountains. At the forefront are lights, a camera monitor, and a crew person at the mercy of the director's chair. I worked about 3 weeks on it including conceptualization and pasting down materials and think it turned out great.

  2. I think that this turned out to be a really nice piece. I would just say that some things I could'nt exactly pick out what things were (for example, the lights and the tin foil) until you actually told me what they were. So I would say to work on the execution of certain parts. But overall, I like the creativity.
